Covenant Membership
At Providence Church, we ask our covenant members if they will strive to help fulfill our vision which is to see those who are disconnected from God and the church find hope, healing and wholeness in Jesus Christ. We do this by fulfilling four simple mission statements:
Seek God
We do this by making worship a holy habit. There are obviously going to be occasional times when you can't be at church, but our hope and prayer is that regular attendance in worship is a part of the rhythm of your life.
Welcome People
We do this by inviting others to Providence. So many people have established or grown in their relationship with God as a result of being invited to Providence. Since our vision is to help those who are disconnected, inviting people to Providence is a great way to help people connect!
Offer Christ
We want you to connect to a place that feeds you spiritually at Providence. A great way of doing this is by joining an Offer Group. These are our adult discipleship groups, each of which is a casual environment for fellowship, food, Bible study and prayer (based upon Acts 2:42). Groups are comprised of anywhere between 10 and 20 people (most groups are categorized by age bracket/demographic), and they meet in people's homes on all different days and times during the week.
Respond By Serving
We also want our members to connect to a place that feeds others. Providence has a strong mission-mindedness, and we are frequently involved in service projects in the community. We also have occasional opportunities to be involved in national and global mission projects! Serving people is a way of serving God, so it is an important part of our culture at Providence. Additionally, we ask our members to commit to give financially to the church, as this makes all of these great opportunities possible!
