Good for the soul

March 17th, 2021

"It's only a hunch, but I have a hunch that the 23rd Psalm may have been among the first David ever wrote," begins Jim Somerville, Pastor of Richmond's First Baptist Church and Co-Founder of A Sermon for Every Sunday. About another psalm, Psalm 51, Somerville says, "It's only a hunch, but I have a hunch that this Psalm was among the last that David ever wrote." Listen as Somerville explains the progression of David's relationship with God from a young shepherd boy to a king who makes a grievous mistake that distances him from God. Sin has consequences. However, God can and does restore the joy of our salvation.
