Addiction and recovery cycles remind us that certain members of our families and communities may move from the isolation of the margins to the center and back over the course of time. As recovering persons and as people of faith seeking solidarity with those who struggle daily with addiction, it is important to remember the shifting quality sometimes exhibited by these marginalized places. Only in this remembering can we as communities of faith and a society at large care for those whose suffering may be constant but not always immediately recognizable.

The Celebrate Recovery service at Grace Church "encourages fellowship and celebrates God’s healing power in our lives as we work our way along the road to recovery. By working through the 12 steps and 8 principles of Celebrate Recovery, we grow spiritually, and we are freed from our hurts, habits, and hang-ups." In the video sermon below, Pastor Shari Lacey explores Step 11 through a lesson on God's will.
