Michelle J. Morris is an elder serving in the Arkansas Conference offices for the United Methodist Church. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and French and a Master of Arts in Comparative Literature, both from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, and she has a Master of Divinity and a Ph.D. in Religious Studies with an emphasis in New Testament from Southern Methodist University.

She was a contributor to the CEB Womens Bible, and is the author of Gospel Discipleship (Abingdon Press, 2020).
