Sally Dyck is bishop of the Northern Illinois Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church. She encourages people to base their lives on Great Commandment and the Great Commission: to love God with their whole selves, to practice daily spiritual disciplines, and to share God’s love with others. She also encourage people to take up disciplines of nutrition and exercise. (Sally runs every day for physical and spiritual well-being.)
Ordained as an elder in 1981, and consecrated a bishop in 2004, Bishop Dyck received her theological education from Boston University School of Theology, the University of Geneva/World Council of Churches, and United Theological Seminary, Dayton, Ohio (1989). She and her husband, the Rev. Ken Ehrman, have traveled the globe together by plane, bicycle, and on foot.
