Whitney partners with non-profits and health-care providers to offer spiritual care, spiritual direction, and retreat leadership. She helps others explore peace in their lives with body, mind, and spirit using ancient tools (such as Lectio Divina, Guided Prayer and Labyrinth Walks). She is especially passionate about finding and sharing healing and wholeness in today's fast paced world. As a survivor of multiple health crises including melanoma skin cancer, stroke and brain surgery (by the age of 31), Whitney has learned to depend greatly on God as her strength and peace.
Currently, Whitney meets with patients to help them tend to their spiritual care at both Gallatin CARES Health Clinic and Charis Health Center. She also serves the mission congregation of Gallatin CARES Worship Center as coordinator of Spiritual Formation. She is Certified in Spiritual Formation and is a Certified Lay Minister in the United Methodist church.
For fun, Whitney frequents the outdoors with her husband and son. She enjoys yoga, swimming, kayaking (not the scary kind), "good for you" foods, writing, reading, amateur photography, thrifting, and time with her family’s (high maintenance but love-able) rescue dog.
